Prevention and treatment of nosocomial diarrhoea
The UK Northwest Regional Development Agency (NWDA) has awarded a grant to a 7 person team lead by Dr W J (Liam) Martin of Sale in Cheshire to develop an effective treatment for nosocomial iatrogenic diarrhoea especially that caused by Clostridium difficile.
The NWDA team will modify faecal bacteriotheraphy to make it safer, to automate the process and provide an effective and aesthetic treatment for the patient.
