Abstract
We read with great interest the multicenter, open-label study of the Alfa pump system in cirrhosis with recurrent ascites (MOSAIC study) by wong et al in which they have described safety and efficacy of automated low flow ascitic (ALFA) pump system for control of refractory ascites in north American cohort (1).In this study ALFA pump system insertion by interventional radiologist using a minimally invasive technique yield similar technical success as compared to surgical insertion techniques in previous studies.
