Abstract
Despite the widespread use of percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in patients with an acute coronary syndrome, questions persist about the best method for preventing thrombotic complications while limiting the risk of bleeding during and after such procedures. The results of the multicenter MATRIX (Minimizing Adverse Hemorrhagic Events by Transradial Access Site and Systemic Implementation of Angiox) trial, as now described by Valgimigli et al.(1) in the Journal, provide some new and important data.
