Abstract
In the UK, postgraduate training for doctors has undergone significant changes over the past decade general practice, etc. During this period, hospital admission rates and bed occupancy have also increased. Junior doctors in the UK have expressed concerns regarding the balance between training and service provision, and multiple reports and policy documents have raised similar issues, especially since the introduction of the European Working Time Directive.
